Community Shop and Second Hand Furniture Unit

The Arches Community Shop

The Community Shop was opened by Kirsty Williams AM in June 2014, following a need to provide sustainable income to enable The Arches services to continue.
It sells a selection of good quality vintage and second hand clothes, household and other items and seasonal products (Halloween, Christmas etc.)

The Kids Korner  has an extensive stock of nearly new children’s and babies clothes from newborn to age 14. It includes labels such as Laura Ashley, Monsoon and Next.
There is also a large selection of books, DVDs and videos, games, nursery equipment, toys and learning materials.

The Community Shop is run by volunteers with support from Arches staff. We are always on the look-out for more volunteers – both in the shop and sorting out donated goods including washing and ironing.

Opening hours are 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays and 10am- 3pm on Saturdays

Donations are always welcome – we will take just about anything as long as it is in reasonable condition. This includes electrical items and furniture for which we can arrange collection if required.

Workshops at Unit 3

We run occasional workshops at Unit 3 in upcycling  in renovating furniture, painting in a vintage style, textile upcycling, woodturning, repair cafes, making items from recycled timber and whatever is wanted.
If you are interested in running or attending workshops, get in touch with Pippa at the Arches.
